Huay Yai Temple

Wat Huay Yai is located on the land given by Khun Pho and Khun Pheuk, a couple residing in Ban Huay Yai, for constructing a temple. The consecrated boundaries were granted to the temple by announcing in the royal decree on May 5, 1843. Wat Huay Yai is an old temple which has been established for a long time. It also has interesting backgrounds, such as chanting for extending life based on an ancient belief, the faithfulness in the abbot, Phra Phattarakitwiboon or Phra Ajarn Kan, who passed away but the temple still keeps the body of Phra Ajarn in the glass coffin and places it in the temple for respecting, attaching gold leaves to the human-size statue of Luang Phor Kan.
