Khao Makok Temple

Wat Khao Makok is the center of Nongprue people. Phra Kru Wijarn Thammakij (Luang Piu Maha Sombat) spent his personal properties to build this temple on the deserted land. It is located in the area where the locals are able to visit conveniently. He was the first abbot of the temple. Later, the locals helped developing this temple and welcomes both Thai and foreign tourists. He always gave good wishes and short yet meaningful teachings. Sometimes he gave sacred objects to people. Therefore, people always remind his kindness and come back to visit the temple again. Wat Khao Makok looks simple and stays with Ban Nongprue for a long time. It is one of the most respectful temples in Banglamung.
