Na Jomtien Temple

Wat Na Jomtien is a peaceful temple like in the past. It is an old temple and has no commercial Buddhism. It is located next to the school. It has spacious and shady area and there are not many monks staying here. It is also the location of the statue of King Taksin the Great which the worship ceremony has recently held by Privy Councilor. This location used to be the military camp of King Taksin the Great when gathering people for battling with Burma and taking Ayutthaya City back. In addition, there is hundreds of year wooden chapel where the stucco Buddha image made by the locals at that period is housed. This chapel was used to hold major rites when going out for battles and it is also the place for reciting incantations over weapons and amulets before joining the battles and protecting the nation.
