Small prow paint activity (Nan Identity Boat)
Nan city has boat racing activities to connect the unity between the villages. In the past, it was done for worshiping the sky. After that, it was traditionally practiced for many hundred years and it was a competition to connect unity and fun in “Than Salaka Pat” festival. The Nan city boat is unique, unlike other place boats. The body part uses logs, the prow makes a serpent image, graceful neck with open mouth, crooked with tassels hanging head and tail throughout the body strikingly decorated with stained glass beautiful lacquered gilding. From the tradition, it became an activity that allowed tourists to participate in the simulation of the prow with the traditional style of the head still using teak wood and jackfruit wood that is sacred wood and the auspicious colors are golden, green, red which this activity creates enjoyment and fun. Importantly, it requires a lot of concentration, therefore it is a challenge to make the prow color come out beautifully. When finished painting, can bring back as the souvenir to remind me that once you had experienced the way of life from the Nan river with the activity of the tiny prow (Nan Identity Boat).
