Luang Phor Dam Assemmbly Hall (Vihara)

Luang Phor Dam Assemmbly Hall (Vihara) is a sacred place of Chong Samae Sarn people. Tetrahedron Assembly Hall (Vihara Chaturamuk) where Luang Phor Dam or “Phra Sam Buddha Maha Muni Si Khuna Supha Nimitra” a 4 m height lacquered Buddha image in meditation posture is placed. Due to many people from different places come visiting to worship and attaching gold onto the image of the Buddha until now the image has become golden. Luang Phor Dam is famous among fishermen. Before going out on the fishing boat they would come to pray and make a wish for themselves to be safe and to have good luck in fishing. Inside the Vihara is decorated with beautiful painting of Life of the Buddha on the wall and also fine sculptures of gods and angels. On top of the pagoda mountain next to the Vihara, there is a large balcony that you can see the impressive top view of Chong Samae San coastal village community.
