Koh Kradad
Koh Kradad is a private island in the middle of Trat Sea, located near Koh Mak (northeast of Koh Mak). It is an island with a strange shape, flat like a sheet of paper. According to the royal letter of King Chulalongkorn, the name "Koh Kradad" probably comes from the name of the Kradan tree, which is commonly found on the island, similar to the taro plant and taro plant, whose bulbs can be used to make medicine. It is a plant that likes to grow on damp beaches. Currently, there are still some on this island. Later, it was found in the reservation stamp that it was written as "Koh Kradad", which probably comes from the geographical characteristics of the island, which is almost flat all over the island, with no mountains. Koh Kradad is an island that has legal land title deeds since the reign of King Rama V. The reason is that during the reign of King Rama V, France came to colonize Southeast Asia and tried to occupy Thai land. Koh Kradad was also one of the French targets. King Rama V therefore graciously granted permission for the island to have a land title deed to show that this island was Thai land. Koh Kradad is not only famous for its beautiful, clear sea water. In addition to the beautiful white sandy beaches and coral reefs around the island, the island is also a highlight of the savannah grasslands. During the rainy season, the grasslands on the island are beautifully green. In the summer, the grasslands turn brown and cover hundreds of rai. There are thousands of deer herds that have been left to live naturally and there are accommodations for tourists who want to stay overnight.
