Koh Saket
Koh Saket or Koh Saket Petch is an island that has been granted a concession by a private company to be a resort. It is located about 15 minutes away from the coast by boat from Sai Thong Beach. The island has beautiful scenery. When the tide is low, you can see a long stretch of sandy beach extending into the sea. There are beautiful coral reefs. Although it is a small island, in the past, Koh Saket was popular among tourists because of its beautiful scenery and the lush nature surrounded by blue sea. When the tide is low, you can see a long stretch of white sandy beach extending into the sea. In addition, Koh Saket has a rocky area that is a breeding ground for mussels, cockles, and oysters. It is also a source of 41 types of coral and is one of the most abundant coral reefs in Thailand.
The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources declared Koh Saket a protected area for marine and coastal resources under the care of the department in 2003.
