Tung Prong Thong (Golden Mangrove Field)
Thung Prong Thong is a mangrove forest area along the mouth of the Prasae River. This area is full of thousands of prong trees, lined up and seen as far as the eye can see. Especially in the early morning and evening, the soft sunlight shines down on this field, reflecting the leaves of the prong trees to a beautiful golden yellow color. This place is called Thung Prong Thong. There is a wooden walkway about 2.6 kilometers long that winds along the prong gold field, allowing tourists to walk and take pictures of this field up close. The path ends at the HTMS Prasae Memorial.
"Tung Prong Thong" is an eco-tourism attraction located in Ban Samae Phu community, Pak Nam Prasae, Klaeng District. Covering an area of more than 9,600,000 square meters, which was originally an area where villagers used to do fishery, shrimp farming, agriculture farming, and orchards until the natural resources in this area were destroyed and the mangrove forest environment was severely degraded. Pak Nam Prasae Subdistrict Municipality responsible for the ecosystem of the mangrove forest must maintain environmental balance with villagers to develop the largest mangrove forest in Rayong to be an eco-tourist attraction and natural education center at the same time. So they built a natural path for study nature and the ecosystem with a distance of about 2 kilometers.
