Khao Phra Bat Phluang (Khao Khitchakut)

Khao Khitchakut National Park is located in the Khao Khitchakut or Khao Phra Bat forest area, Makham District and Khao Khitchakut Sub-district, Chanthaburi Province. It consists of mountains, beautiful scenery, with the highest peak at an altitude of 1,000 meters. There are beautiful natural conditions such as Krathing Waterfall and geological phenomena related to Buddhist legends, especially in terms of religious beliefs about the Buddha's footprint on the top of Khao Khitchakut. It covers an area of ​​approximately 58.31 square kilometers or 36,444.05 rai. On the top of Khao Khitchakut, there is a Buddha's footprint, which is commonly called Phra Bat Khao Khitchakut or Phra Bat Phluang. It is located in Phluang Sub-district, Khao Khitchakut Sub-district, approximately 40 kilometers north of the province. It is home to the highest Buddha footprint in Thailand, over 1,050 meters above sea level, making it the highest in Khao Khitchakut National Park. The "Buddha's footprint" is a mark on a large stone slab. There is a groove about 2 meters deep, 1 meter wide and 2 meters long, discovered at the top of Khao Phra Bat, about 4 kilometers from the Khao Khitchakut National Park office.
