Wat Phra That Chom Kitti
Wat Phra That Chom Kitti is an important religious site in Chiang Rai Province. It is located on Doi Chom Kitti or Doi Noi in the past, about 2 kilometers northwest of Chiang Saen. Important things in the temple include Phra Chedi Chom Kitti, an ancient chedi estimated to be around 1,068 years old, which is one of the 9 Phra That Chom in Chiang Rai Province. The chedi contains the forehead relics of the Lord Buddha, which were brought by Phra Buddhakosajarn to Chiang Saen to spread Buddhism at that time. Phra That Doi Chom Kitti is famous for its belief that if you pay homage and pray, you will be blessed with titles, wealth, and fame, and will be praised by others and become a leader.
