Thai-style village, Ban Phai Dam Phatthana

Ban Phai Dam Phatthana is a sub-district in Wichian Chai District, Ang Thong Province. It is famous for being a village that preserves Thai-style houses, which are local wisdom of Thailand. Within Ban Phai Dam Phatthana Sub-district, there are around 400 Thai-style houses, both traditional and modern, with both pointed and hip roofs. Originally, the houses of the Ban Phai Dam Phatthana villagers were riverside houses. Today, the village has changed but still preserves Thai-style houses to the present. Although we have the opportunity to see Thai-style houses in other provinces throughout the country or around Ang Thong Province, Ban Phai Dam Phatthana has the opportunity to see the most Thai-style houses, especially in the area near the Ban Phai Dam Phatthana Municipality Office, where there are real residents. Ban Phai Dam Phatthana is surrounded by agricultural areas because it was originally an agricultural sub-district.
