Bamboo Utensil Museum
The economic downturn in 1997 also affected the economy of the Bang Chao Cha community. This caused the community leaders and Bang Chao Cha villagers to gather to discuss the future of Bang Chao Cha. The Bang Chao Cha villagers organized a community meeting to plan the future together and initiated the development of various projects to become a source of career promotion. The villagers cooperated very well, leading to the promotion of bamboo weaving. Originally, the Bang Chao Cha community's main occupation was agriculture. Since this area had many bamboo trees and they were like borders of the house, bamboo weaving became a secondary occupation. However, at present, weaving has become the main occupation of the villagers. It has been developed into many more forms, to the point that people from outside are interested. It has become a quality OTOP product of the community that can be exported abroad. Inside the museum building, there is an exhibition of evidence of the use of bamboo since ancient times, along with the villagers' way of life, from birth to death, as well as various tools for making a living. Of the Bang Chao Cha people as well. Source: https://www.museumthailand.com/th/museum/Museum-Bamboo-Ang-Thong
