Suan Pa Ket Nom Klao

This Suan Pa Ket Nom Klao is an urban forest community enterprise that was born from a small beginning of environmental lovers who came together to push the community into an ecological learning center. People in the community have participated in the development and conservation. Suan Pa Ket Nom Klao is located in Village 2, Song Khanong Subdistrict. It is the first urban community forest area in Thailand. This forest park was initiated by the villagers in the surrounding communities, such as Village 2 and Village 3 of Song Khanong Subdistrict. These villagers asked the government to develop the area until it became a forest park that conserves more than 100 species of trees and plants and more than 30 species of birds. Currently, the villagers have also developed this forest park into an activity that is a learning center outside of textbooks for students and tourists who are interested in nature.
