Phra Borommathat Chedi of Wat Ko Kaew (Wat Rahan)
Phra Borommathat Chedi of Wat Ko Kaew (Wat Rahan) is located in Ban Dan Subdistrict, Ban Dan District, Buriram Province. Inside the temple, there is the Phra Mahathat Rattana Chedi as a place of worship to commemorate the Lord Buddha. The shape of the Phra Mahathat Chedi is a contemporary applied art, 60 meters high, with 4 floors. The first floor is used as a multi-purpose hall. The second floor is a place for practicing Vipassana meditation. The third floor is a chapel, a museum, and a place to enshrine the statues of monks who practice well. The fourth floor enshrines the relics of the Lord Buddha, which the Supreme Patriarch of the Siamwong sect and the Great Master Wimlaratana, the abbot of Wat Si Weluwanaram in Sri Lanka, gave the relics and a shoot of the Bodhi tree to Phra Khru Khemkhunsophon (Luang Pu Chanram Khemsiri) in 2004. It is a place with beautiful art and historical significance as archaeological evidence. Because it is a place to worship the relics of the Lord Buddha and the body of Luang Pu Chan Ram Khemsiri, it is a peaceful and shady place with many peacocks living there. It is suitable for Buddhists who want to worship the relics of the Lord Buddha, make merit and practice Dhamma.
