Samakkhi Pracharam Temple

Wat Samakkhi Pracharam is located on the land which was donated by Mr.Nikhom Pradittham in order to build a temple in the area of Ban Thung Klom, Nongprue Sub-District. The temple was registered with the Department of Religious Affairs in 1973. In 1990, the land was granted to the temple by announcing in the royal decree and the ubosot was constructed with the clear strategy of the temple stated on the ubosot’s roof, that is, “Unity of Power” which refers to the harmony of people in the community. It is also the origin of the temple’s name “Samakkhi Pracharam”. Every April 15 of the year, there is the sand pagoda building ceremony which is the major religious ceremony of the temple for the locals during the Songkran festival. Every April 17, the Wan Hab tradition is held. The locals will decorate loads with vegetables, fruits and foods and they are carried around the temple and then offered to monks.
