Community history“Xishuangbanna land of born, Birthplace of Chao Sam Fang Kaen, The land of Tai Lue people, Famed culture”“Yu dee kin whan” is a greeting of the Tai lue people before knowing the word \"Sawasdee\" regarded as a blessing visitor to have good health, strong and without diseases. The ancestors of the Tai Lue Muang Luang Nue migrated from Xishuangbanna in 1389, which corresponds to the period of the seventh monarch was King Saen Muang Ma. The reason why they migrated was that they were trading elephants, horses, cows and looking for relatives. When finding a good location with a river, then settled down as a family until becoming a village called Muang Luang Nue village, meaning the place where Phaya Luang is a noble animal, according to the imagination of Tai Lue people playing in the clouds. There is a belief that Phaya Luang came to bless people in the area of well-being. Due to the migration for more than 600 years, the traditional way of life and traditions and cultures have disappeared somewhat, because Tai Lue people live a simple life when mingled with Lanna natives people, they assimilate with the natives, as the phrase \"When in Rome, do as Romans do\". The society changed, the community changed according to the current trend, the buildings and the way of life of the people changed, but there is still one thing that never fades away from the community, that is the Tai Lue language. Later, when the Thai government gives importance to the culture that \"Preserving culture is the preservation of the nation\", therefore, all regions revitalize their local culture and the Tai Lue Muang Luang Nue community also began to restore and preserve Tai Lue culture about 20 years ago, beginning with Baan Luang Nue school also. The school asks students to wear Thai Lue clothes to go to school. After that, the villagers and parents see that they were proud and united to inherit the preservation of their way of life. Tai Lue culture traditions were restored to be with the community and the Tai Lue culture was used as a medium for tourism by the community until it became clear to the general public.Traditions and culturePay respect to the ancestral spirit traditions, regularly held every September of every year. Xishuangbanna people call chili paste Frog chili paste with green taro (Nam Mi Gob with Toon). Green taro (Toon) is a type of elephant ear plant, but it has a sweet taste and is commonly used as food. The word “Mi” means chili paste. Xishuangbanna people called chili paste is Nam Mi such as Nam Mi Ta Dang, Nam Mi Phu. Make chili paste by pounding chili, then add the frogs and then add the green taro.
