Community history\tPhrabat Huai Tom community... simple and beautiful. Express the way of life of the Pga K'nyau people. The story of the life and faith of Pga K'nyau. Baan Phrabat Huai Tom community is interested in the simple way of life, strictly in Buddhism, traditions, and culture, agriculture enhances the career, silverware, wickerwork, woven fabrics, laterite, and peace. With the teachings of Venerable Grand Father Kruba Chaiya Wongsa Pattana to the Pga K'nyau people to live well, observe religious and precepts, eat vegetarian, refrain from meat and liquor, wear traditional clothes and go to the temple to make merit. The well-being of the people at Baan Phrabat Huai Tom can still be seen when coming to the land of merit at \"Lamphun Muang Li\"The Phrabat Huai Tom community all began here, because of Pga K'nyau people followed Venerable Grand Father Kruba Chaiya Wongsa Pattana to renovate and construct Wat Phrabat Huai Tom, which began in 1971 to 1975, therefore officially opened as Phrabat Huai Tom community. Later in 1978, King Rama 9 came to visit inhabitants at Baan Phrabat Huai Tom, and said to Venerable Grand Father Kruba Chaiya Wongsa Pattana for helping to discipline for all groups of inhabitants from that day until today Pga K'nyau people from many areas moved into Phrabat Huai Tom community. Currently, Phrabat Huai Tom community has 10 villages with Pga K'nyau people moving from Tak, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Lamphun, and Lampang. There is no animal raising here, they prohibit to eat meat and most of them eat vegetarians. From the love, peace, and friendliness that is the original habit of the Pga K'nyau people, the environment of this village is a good ideal for traveling.Traditions and cultureTraditions of Venerable Grand Father Kruba Chaiya Wongsa Pattana's body change clothes, held every May 15 - 17 every year. To express gratitude to the Venerable Grand Father Kruba Chaiya Wongsa Pattana who developers of Phrabat Huai Tom community, which makes Pga K'nyau people all over come to join to the street processions for their good fortune.Change one´s bad fortune through a ceremony, held every April 13 - 15 every year.
