Baan Sukhawadee

Baan Sukhawadee is a beautiful mansion built according to the intention of Dr. Panya Chotethevan. At that time, Thailand encountered the economic crisis and many foreigners took over Thai businesses so he decided to build Baan Sukhawadee to represent the dignity of Thai people. He used to say that “This is the residence where it is the reference of Thai’s house.” The term of “Sukhawadee” means goodness and purity. All the main buildings are painted in both pink and blue. Pink stands for love while blue refers to water. Water is the beginning of many lives. Baan Sukhawadee was built in Romanesque architecture. There are many paintings and sculptures decorated inside the mansion, including the main buildings such as Buddha Tower where the Buddha image in the attitude of Nativity is housed, 5-storey main building & Goddess of Mercy where sculptures are situated and represented philosophy and Dharma puzzle, and Kitchen of the World Building consisting of the conference room accommodating up to 2500 persons. In addition, there is an octagon building where food and beverage center and souvenir shop are located.
