One of the most important and oldest temples in the old city of Songkhla. Built in the late Ayutthaya period, it was originally named Wat Yai Srichan after the name of the baron who built this temple. But locals often call it Wat Klang because the temple was built along the north side. and Wat Pho to the south. and changed the name to Pali as "Wat Matchimawat"
Located at Nang Ngam Road. It is an ancient site from the Rattanakosin period. It looks like a Chinese shrine. Built during the reign of Phraya Wichian Khiri (Thian Seng Na Songkhla) who was the governor of Songkhla. Inside the shrine is a city pillar made of Chaiyaphruek wood. which His Majesty King Nang Klao gave to the city This city pillar was buried on March 10, 1842.
Located close to the road at the foot of Tinsulanonda Bridge, it is a more than 200 year old temple. Once in the past, King Chulalongkorn traveled by water up to the pier in front of the temple. Inside the temple, there is architecture that is considered an ancient site and an important place of worship of the temple. It consists of the largest reclining Buddha image.
Wat Ratchapraditthan or Wat Pha Kho is an ancient temple that has existed since the Ayutthaya period. Important things within the temple include Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. or Phra Suwan Malik Chedi (Golden Chedi) which is located on the top of Khao Pha Kho or Khao Phiphat Sing.
